Gas build up steam in recruitment with new deal for Sinclair

Box-to-box midfielder Stuart Sinclair has become the third player to pen a new contract this week to extend his stay at the Memorial Ground.

The 29-year-old joins fellow midfielders Ollie Clarke and Chris Lines in doing so, as sit well placed to realise their play-off ambitions this season, or possibly the next.

Under manager the lie seven points off the play-off spots in 9th, going from strength to strength since securing back-to-back promotions in the past two seasons.

Clarke revealed his pleasure at seeing Sinclair commit to his plans which have progressed from getting out of the National League to getting into the .

“It's very pleasing to know that Stuart has decided to extend his stay with us as he is a valuable member of the squad and has made the transition from The Conference to the League with consummate ease,” Clarke told www.bristolrovers.co.uk.

“I've known Stuart for a long time and his infectious enthusiasm for the game and his tremendous work ethic makes him a shining example to the younger players at the club.”

The midfielder himself added: “It's fantastic as far as I'm concerned. I just wanted to get everything sorted and not have to worry about it.

The length of the agreed deal remains undisclosed but on Saturday Sinclair, who joined the club in 2014 from Salisbury, looks set to make his 100th appearance for Rovers in their home encounter with play-off rivals .
