All Hellas breaks loose on deadline day as QPR land Wszolek

have secured the signing of Polish international Pawel Wszolek from Italian Serie B side Hellas Verona on loan.

The winger joins Rangers for the duration of the campaign after completing a medical in Warsaw, after being granted permission to leave the Poland national team camp to undertake the transfer's formalities.

Wszolek, 24, has been capped eight times by his country, scoring twice, adding further international pedigree to the squad at Loftus Road following the arrival of compatriot Ariel Borysiuk and striker Idrissa Sylla.

Boss asserted his confidence of the club's dealings this summer as the transfer window winds down to close.

The Dutchman told the club's website: “Pawel's arrival is another positive step in the right direction for us.

“He's a Polish international with good pedigree who will bring quality to the side.

“He is versatile, can play on either the left or right, and works tirelessly for the team. He's a very hardworking player.

“I'm really looking forward to working with him and adding him to the squad.”

As well as overseas players, the R's have acquired experienced heads in former captain Jake Bidwell and vice-captain Jordan Cousins.

For Wszolek, the opportunity to make his club debut will come after Poland take on Kazakhstan in the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Astana.
